Bringing skills, knowledge and large experiences together
Our law firm structures its activities by ensuring complementary skills. Everyone in the firm has had unique and personal journeys.
To grasp family law, legal knowledge alone is not sufficient. This law is rooted in an approach that involves the human aspect as much as bookish knowledge.
It’s not just about knowing law codes very well but also understanding the human realities that aren’t learned from books.
That’s why all your experiences as human beings will enrich our teams.
Your values will benefit ours.
PacisLexis Family Law
Sticking to agreements and keeping one’s word
A relationship between a lawyer and a client is built on trust. The stronger this trust, the stronger the client/lawyer tandem becomes.
To ensure this trust, the firm imposes two rules: the written rule of the fee agreement and the commitment to keep one’s word.
The values that guide our relationships within our teams are identical to those we apply to our clients.

Civil partnership
In France, “PACS” stands for “Pacte civil de solidarité,” which is “Civil partnership” in English. It is a form of a legal contract that provides legal recognition and some of the benefits associated with marriage or a civil union for couples who choose not to get married. PACS was introduced in France in 1999 as a way to offer legal protections and benefits to unmarried couples, including same-sex couples. However, PACS and civil partnership are totally different.
Adoption
In France there are 2 types of adoption.
In the UK there are 4 main types of adoption: fostering to adopt, adoption of a child from foster care, non-agency adoption and overseas adoption.
In the US, there are 5 types of adoption: adopting through the Child Welfare system (foster care), private adoption, international adoption, relative adoption and adult adoption.
Fault divorce
Definition of a fault divorce
A fault divorce is a type of divorce in which one spouse alleges that the other spouse is responsible for the breakdown of the marriage due to specific grounds or fault-based reasons, such as adultery, cruelty, abandonment, or substance abuse. In a fault divorce, the accusing spouse must provide evidence of the alleged misconduct in court to support their claim for the divorce. This is in contrast to a no-fault divorce, where the spouses can seek a divorce without having to prove that one party is at fault for the marriage’s dissolution. Fault divorces are less common in modern legal systems, as many jurisdictions now primarily offer no-fault divorce options.
